Where this may be the case when you’re talking about a normal “brick and mortar” retail store that has a limited population in its reach. It just isn’t true when you’re discussing online business that can reach billions of people that are online everyday all around the world.

Now that you’ve built your free website and come up with an area of interest, or a niche for your site it is time to make money from it. There are a number of ways that this can be accomplished. Have you created something to sell? Maybe you’ve written an e-book on a topic that relates to something on your website? Perhaps you will use advertisements on your site that can generate an income when people click on them. How about selling items through one of the tens of thousands of affiliate programs available? There is one thing that is missing… Getting people to your website. If you have the most beautiful site in the world and you are selling the most amazing product in the world, it isn’t going to do you much good if you are the only person that knows your website even exists. SEO, SEM and SOcial Marketing are the best ways to get traffic.
